The Re-Up Room
Children and youth often enter foster care with little notice and sometimes with little more than the clothes they are wearing. The Re-Up Room was created to ensure that during an already difficult transition, accessing basic necessities can still feel personal, dignified, and empowering.
The Re-Up Room provides foster youth and individuals in need with new and gently used clothing, hygiene products, and everyday essentials in a welcoming, shop-style environment. Blending the excitement of shopping with the individuality of thrifting, participants can browse, mix and match, and choose items that reflect their own needs, comfort, and personal style rather than simply being handed what is available.
Because meeting a basic need shouldn't mean taking away someone's choice. The Re-Up Room helps youth leave with more than essentials—they leave with something they chose for themselves and can feel confident in.
