At Family Onward, we understand that welcoming a child into your home is more than opening your doors. It’s opening your heart, embracing the unknown, and making room for someone else’s journey to become part of your own.
We also recognize that for children entering foster care, a new beginning often comes with uncertainty, unfamiliar surroundings, and the challenge of leaving behind everything they’ve known.
The Re-Up Room was created to bring a little comfort to both sides of that journey.
But our commitment doesn’t stop with the children.
We believe the people who step forward to care for them deserve that same sense of encouragement and belonging.
We provide clothing and personal care essentials for foster youth, welcome baskets for newly approved foster parents in the Antelope Valley, and welcome bags for foster and kinship caregivers joining our programs.
For the children starting over. For the caregivers stepping forward. For every individual finding their way. We’re here for all of you.

At Family Onward, we believe caregivers deserve a little love, too! Our thoughtfully curated welcome baskets are filled with wellness goodies, self-care treats, helpful foster care resources, family connection tools, and special surprises to celebrate you and your journey.

Every young person deserves to feel confident, comfortable, and cared for. The Re-Up Room offers a welcoming, boutique-style shopping experience where current and former foster youth can explore a variety of new and gently loved clothing, complete outfits, shoes, accessories, hygiene essentials, and personal care products.

Whether preparing for a new placement, navigating a transition, or simply needing a fresh start, we’re here to help youth find essentials that reflect their unique style, personality, and individuality because every young person deserves more than the basics. They deserve the freedom to feel like themselves.

Through Family Onward’s community resource and outreach efforts, we’ve helped put thousands of everyday necessities into the hands of individuals and families throughout our community.

Our goal is simple: To make sure no child, caregiver or individual feels forgotten in the moments they need community most.
